Event: Big Foot 200 Endurance Run

Date: August 11-15, 2017

"I watch my 3 and 4 year olds watch me while and after I do these endurance events and it makes me hungry to do more, because I can see the look in their eye that more is possible and that perceived limits are not what they appear to be."

Lucas' "Why"

I am 30 years old father of two amazing boys 3 and 4 years old. They are my world. Married to my high school sweetheart Brittany. We live in a small mountain town up in the mountains of Colorado. I am an assistant manager at a Rec Center where I coordinate youth sports leagues and coach fitness classes. My wife is a teacher we both do a ton of programs and giving back to youth in our community. We live in one the most expensive places around because its close to a ski resort so the housing prices are inflated like crazy. We live paycheck to paycheck between paying for daycare a mortgage and normal bills. We love the area we live in so we have stayed. I also love to do endurance events. I watch my 3 and 4 year olds watch me while and after I do these endurance events and it makes me hungry to do more, because I can see the look in their eye that more is possible and that perceived limits are not what they appear to be. I want to set that example for them their names are Drake and Tyce and I want to be a Hero for them.

It Takes a Village

My why is my FAMILY-my wife and kids give me that fuel when I am broken and hurt during an event. I know I can keep going for them. I have never quit an event ever.

I want to be that positive light that you guys are, I want to be that person who can help get people to make some goals that they might not have. I want people to live for a living and get out there and experience these crazy endurance events. To show others how amazing it is to live outside comfort zones.

If money wasn't an object, what would I change?

I would be a painter or a sculpture. I've always enjoyed art and would love to make things like that for a living.
